Mission

Park Egypt’s mission is to maintain a well-managed, representative system of parks conserving natural resources, contributing to sustainable economic growth and providing education, inspiration and enjoyment for all.

Our primary objectives are:

Conservation: Ensuring the survival of representative examples of the nation's flora, fauna and landscapes through habitat and species protection and rehabilitation programs.

Biodiversity: Safeguarding the biodiversity and ecological viability of Egypt’s natural resources by providing refuges for endangered species of plants and animals and buffering against human impact and environmental degradation.

Research: Conducting and supporting scientific research to expand our understanding of native species, habitats and environmental effects and to contribute to the world’s knowledge.

Socio-economic benefits: Diversifying Egypt’s economy with job development and national income through conservation-related activities, while providing sustainable livelihoods for local communities and alleviating rural poverty.

Education: Educating park visitors and the general public about the natural resources of Egypt and the necessity of environmental preservation for all aspects of life.

Recreation and inspiration: Providing opportunities for the enjoyment of our natural resources by Egyptians and visitors, and encouraging an appreciation of the environment’s inherent values and beauty.

Long-Term Effects: Finding the most viable options now that will provide the best choices for future generations to be able to maintain the natural resilience of resources.
